Traveling for me is probably genetic; my father ran away from home when he was seventeen, and joined the Navy to see the world. When he proposed to my mother some ten years later, he promised her a trip around the world. They didn't make that trip until their 50th wedding anniversary, but meanwhile, my sisters and I grew up visiting National Parks in the USA on every spring and summer vacation, as well as venturing into Mexico and Canada. That planted the seed for a passion to see everywhere I could. As an adult, I've lived and worked in Morocco, Iran, Trinidad and Tobago, and, for only six months, China.
My Favorite Places:
This is a hard one. I think I'd have to say Amsterdam for a city, but Havana and S'ana run it a close race. The countries that come to mind are Mali, Trinidad and Tobago, Norway, and Argentina. Ask me at another time, and you may get different answers!
