I am the youngest American to complete the UN list and am currently concentrating on becoming the youngest to complete the Travelers Century Club list of 321 countries, territories, etc. I enjoy MTP as well but will likely never attempt to complete the list because I do not agree with many items on the list or the way they are selected or voted on. I have no interest at all in wasting my time and money visiting random rocks or icebergs in the middle of the ocean somewhere where nobody lives.
I do love the rankings though and I am humbled and proud to be among the top names listed and the top person under 40. Perhaps one day I will change my mind but driving aimlessly through nowhere Siberia just to take pictures in front of oblast signs doesn't appeal to me. Nor does sitting on a boat for 2 months to get to Bouvet Island or other such uninhabited places, rocks/icebergs.
So I will complete the TCC list as I already have the UN list and gradually up my tally here. I love travel and have met many of the top people on this and other sites through some of my trips. Travelers are some of the most interesting people out there and I look forward to more.
My Favorite Places:
Easter Island, Lord Howe Island, Fernando de Noronha, Australia, Reunion, Tanzania, Cook Islands, Barcelona, New Zealand, Brazil, Vancouver, New York City, Colombia, Argentina, any really good pizza place, my apartment and Yankee Stadium
