Hi, Iím Les, I caught the travel bug very early in life aged 3 when my father, who was in the British army, was posted to Hong Kong. Of course in 1956 that meant a free around-the-world cruise via Gibraltar, Malta, Egypt, Aden (Yemen), Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Singapore and finally Hong Kong. So far I have spent the majority of my life (42 years) living outside my home country, mainly in Germany and the Far East. When I visit somewhere I do like to see how the other half lives and usually get right off the beaten track, not your typical beach tourist althought a day on the beach does help a day after you have climbed a 4000 foot volcano in the Caribbean. Of course my aim, like everybody elses is to visit every country on this planet before I pop my clogs and Iím getting there, slowly but surely. I only wish I had a bit more cash and even more time but the good news is its now only 1 year to retirement, then watch my list go up rapidly as I spend the kids inheritance whilst racking up my countries visited list. In case you had not guessed, my favourite hobby, apart from travelling, is Photography. Best of luck to all my fellow travel freaks.
My Favorite Places:
Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany, Caribbean And Of Course My Home Country ... Wales, UK
