My first visit to Liechtenstein happened 1978. While travelling in Switzerland I took a train Sargans to Buchs and from there a bus to Liechenstein’s capital Vaduz. Measured by land area of 160 sq km Liechtenstein is the sixth smallest independent country in the world and seventh smallest measured by population. It is German speaking country, but is bordering only with Switzerland and Austria, not Germany. 2001 Oili and I arrived from Sargans by bus. Usually Liechtenstein is visited by day trips only, but if you like to stay on the Alps it is one possibility for this purpose as well.
