I started travelling when I was 16, with a roll-up camper propped on the back of an S10. For 3 summers, my Mom and I trucked through 48 US states, 10 Canadian provinces and into Mexico. She firmly believed that before I could venture off into the world, it was necessary to understand my own country and continent.
When I am not studying anthropology and archaeology I still continue to travel (whenever there is time and enough room on my credit card!). Presently I am working my way west around the Northern Hemisphere, though in 2007 I detoured to Central America. I enjoy backpacking compared to suitcasing, hostels over 5-stars, and getting off the beaten path.
When not traveling, I am planning my next trip. I am hoping that 2007-2008 will find me in South America and possibly Cuba.
