At 16, I took my first flight and trip from my home in Canada to Bermuda - it was the beginning of a lifelong yearning to see the world. I had no idea at that time how much of my dream would be realized!
Working for a large airline for nine years, I began to travel to exotic destinations - but my visits were short and only made me want to return. Spending the next 30 years as a Travel Director for a major tour operator, I realized my dream to visit many exotic places - repeatedly so that I had the time to make friends and learn so much about the people and their customs.
Though I have shortened my annual travel time, I still look forward to escorting the most interesting travelers to destinations around the world. My friends often ask when I will retire - but I answer with "why - so I can travel???" Guess I will do this until I drop! Check out my travel schedule at www.travcoa.com my most memorable experiences - standing on the North Pole after a four-day ice-crushing cruise on the Russian nuclear ship - Yamal. Following closely are the 17 visits with gorillas in Zaire (present-day Congo) and Rwanda.
UPDATE - another "memorable" experience - just spent a month in Costa Rica and fulfilled long-time dream of receiving my Scuba Diving Certification. Now looking forward to diving in Yap at the end of December.
Another dream experience - my fourth sky dive here in Nevada
My Favorite Places:
North Pole - Galapagos - Tombouctou - Namibia - Botswana - Madagascar - Antarctica - Laos - Hawaii, Tuscany and Greece (my down-time favorite)
