It's 1962 and I'm in the back seat of my folk's station wagon with my 3 siblings on an all night trip from Kansas City to Ohio. I have a transistor radio pressed to my ear trying to tune to a St. Louis station. I'm in heaven....and why? Because I'm going somewhere different....I'm traveling. Fast forward 46 years. I'm on a crowded overnight train from Tbilsi, Georgia to Armenia. For whatever it's worth I'll be visiting a new destination in a couple hours. Excited? Of course. But in fact, it's no different from observing a new city from the back seat of a car when I was 13 years old. It's still the thrill of experiencing a new place. Besides traveling, I enjoy running. I have run marathons in all 7 continents, & all 50 US states.
My Favorite Places:
Nepal, Argentina, Bali, the Philippines, Turkey, Baku, Azerbaijan and Paris
