I live in the western part of Finland with my wife and four kids. My first trips outside Finland were in the 1960's by car with my parents to Norway and Sweden. From the late 1970's to the early 1990's I was on the road with my backpack when ever I could travelling first in Europe, later in Asia, Australia, Africa and South America. From the middle of the 1990's I've mainly travelled with my family. I like everything about travelling with a special interest in the nature and birds.
My Favorite Places:
Galapagos Islands, Cook Islands, New Zealand, Zanzibar, Malawi, Tibet and Valsörarna (a small group of islands in the Gulf of Bothnia between Finland and Sweden with a bird observatory where I've spent a few days annually the last twenty years).
