I grew up in the US in the small town of Hinckley, Ohio. I did not leave there much until I was 18 when I moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University then to Virginia, Texas, and Illinois while I worked as a mechanical engineer for ExxonMobil. I first developed an interest in travel after doing road trips around the US. I went on my first long trip outside of the US when I was 25 to Germany and a few neighboring countries, which led to a few more international trips in subsequent years. I left my job when I was 29 expecting to travel for just a few months but I enjoyed it so much that I continued going and have been living a nomadic life ever since. My interest in travel stems from a love of learning as well as a drive to falsify my own beliefs in order to adopt new ones.
