This picture shows me exhibiting tribal portraits 2007 near Talheim, Germany. I travel mostly by hitchhiking on overland trips, that is why I am missing out on a lot of the islands so far. As a kid I used to forget everything else over `studying` books from Robert Louis Stevenson, Alexandre Dumas, Karl May & Jack London. I started hitchhiking when I was eleven years old, as our village was about two kilometers off the main road home from school, and only about every third bus went that extra stretch. I guess every traveler continues more or less in the way he has learned traveling & the way it has worked for him before. In earlier times I was an ATP world-ranked professional tennis player, but when traveling backpacking style one has much more time for meeting the local population. I now work as a Professional Getty Images Photographer.
