I first started traveling when I was 19. I studied abroad in Melbourne, Australia and loved every minute of it. I didn\'t do very well in uni, but I did manage to travel quite a bit in Australia and New Zealand. I instantly fell in love with traveling. While I was in school, I did my work abroad in London. Every chance I got, I hit the road and travelled somewhere. I set a goal for myself that by the time I turned 30, I would try and live or spend a significant amount of time on every continent. After college, I went to Brazil to visit a friend. I was only there for two weeks but that two weeks changed my life. I fell in love with the culture, the people, the language, the food. Every day when I returned to the states, I dreamed of going back to Brazil. For the next 4 years, I returned to Brasil. I lived there in the winter and lived in the summer in the United states- putting me on a endless summer. At the end of my twenties, I knew that I wouldn\'t be able to achieve my goal but I didn\'t accept defeat. I went out to work in Hawaii on the cruise ships for my next adventure. Working in Hawaii was a great experience, but I got burnt out easily working 70 hour weeks. I was in paradise but couldn\'t enjoy it because I was always working. After 2 years, I decided I needed a big vacation. I went to southeast Asia to travel extensively for 6 months. I had heard that Bangkok was a mecca for travel and that\'s where I finished my trip and ended it. After coming back home to the east coast, I met my wife Leigh who was finishing up her studies in college. I decided shortly after, to settle down a bit and call one place my home. I formed a
wedding photography business but my real love for photography will always be travel photography. Leigh and I are always traveling now when our work permits it. I try to combine the two and book destination weddings
whenever possible so that I can travel and work. I will travel anywhere in the world to work and to experience
the culture. In the past, I have made deals with the bride and groom, if you pay for my expenses to get to
and from your destination wedding- I will shoot your wedding for free. I love traveling more than anything. I
haven\'t been to a lot of places but when I go to new places, I amerce myself in the culture and really try to get to know the people. I very rarely stay in resorts, I try to see as much as possible and travel as the locals do. My favorite question to ask the locals is, -where do you like to travel to? Traveling has given me so much thru the years and has helped me grow as a person. I have yet to make it to every continent, but I will one day.
