I was born and raised in San Francisco. I went to St. Annes, Presidio Hill, Laguna Honda, Herbert Hoover and Tamalpais High School in Marin County just outside San Francisco. I attended College of Marin for 5 semesters in the late sixties and 2 more semesters in 1991 and 1992. I studied Labor history and Labor Law 1978-1980 at Golden Gate University and CCSF in San Francisco. I took a summer job on the San Francisco waterfront in 1968 as a Teamster which led to Truck Driving jobs until 1980 at which time I started working in Motion Picture Transportation as a driver then as a driver Captain until recently when I took an (temporary)early retirement in order to raise my son and write. In 2001 I met my wife in Thailand. We got married in San Francisco and had a son who will be 10 in May. I always traveled as much as I could. As soon as I was able to I traveled around the U.S. I visited 46 states plus 7 provinces in Canada and a number of states in Mexico. By 1971 I started traveling in Europe and Asia and by 1972 had visited 19 countries. Since then I've visited a total of 50 countries if you count Yugoslavia as one country but now that Yugoslavia has broken apart I could say that I've been to most of those countries that formed Yugoslavia. Maybe I've been to 55 or 56 countries if we can count Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Montenegro instead of just Yugoslavia. I've lived in (Taken up residence and paid rent by the month and/or became part of the local scene, attended school made friends etc.) U.S.A. (New Orleans, New York City, Rural Washington, Colorado, California-of course)London England, Madrid Spain, Ibiza Spain, New Delhi India, Kashmir India, Bangkok Thailand, Khon Kaen Thailand and Panajachel Guatemala.
I plan to spend a year in India with my family then possibly a year in Thailand if things work out favorably. We may go as early as June 2012 or as late as August. My hobbies are (Needless to say) travel, Astrology (Certified Professional with over 40 years of experience) Hiking & Zen...Maybe sort of. That's all I can say right now
