I am 43 years old and only started going abroad aged 18. I have hitch hiked to India and been round the world 3 times.I work in IT and have now stopped travelling regularly, as I have to pay the bills. I now only go on holidays, but try to visit obscure places. Whilst travelling, I was a waiter in Nepal working 77 hours a week for the about $US2. I also worked looking after a monkey in the South china sea. I picked fruit and cotton in Greece, computers in Australia and delivered furniture to the Empire State building in New York. My next trip is island hoping the Caribbean. I will continue to travel, and hope in the near future to visit Greenland. I started travelling when I saw an advert in a magazine for Nepal. It read " Nepal - Roof of the world, most will only see it in an atlas" from then on I was hooked. Wrote a book about my travels - the publisher sent it back stating "It's of no literary merit" charming!!!
My Favorite Places:
Myanmar and possibly The Maldives because it is the only place I have e3ver arrived , with a smile on my face. I also think Donastia (San Sebastian) is my favourite city. The worst place i've ever been - Macau. Dacca isn't much to write home about either Most dangerous place - Joburg Best moment - Diving with a Great White Shark off CapeTown(in a cage - stupid!!)
