I've been obsessed with travel since age 12 when I went on a student ambassador trip to Australia. I like to spend time in a place and get to know it, so I will probably never rank as high as some others, but I'd say I've "collected" a good bit of countries in my 22 years of life.
In high school I went on to spend two weeks living with a family in Sada (near A Coruna), Spain, and also visited London, England for one spring break. In college I volunteered in Iquitos, Peru, for a week my freshman year, and I spent semesters studying in both Florence, Italy (after which I spend 6 weeks backpacking through Europe), and Bangkok, Thailand (including much travel in SEA), and a summer interning in Sydney, Australia (with a month in New Zealand between the latter two). After I graduated from college I spent three months backpacking solo through South America, visiting Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador (including the Galapagos - amazing!) The trip only led me to start dream-planning a future trip to Central America, Colombia, Brazil, and Patagonia (and ideally Antarctica!), but I think I need to spend some time working and making money first!
I also spent two months in Sweden after I returned from S.A. (visiting my boyfriend who is Swedish), and we visited Jordan for a little over a week during that time as well.
My next step in life is to return to the country that started it all (Australia) for a year to work, and hopefully I can check off a few more provinces besides NSW and QLD!
My Favorite Places:
Barcelona, Spain; Pangandaran, Mt. Bromo, and Lovina, Indonesia; Pulau Perhentian, Malaysia; Galapagos Islands, Ecuador; Sydney, Australia; Jordan (except Amman); Thailand; Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls, Argentina; Cusco, Peru; Vulcano, Sicily; Greece; The Far North and Queenstown, New Zealand
