Didn't do a lot of travel outside my home country of the UK until after university. First long-haul was to India and Nepal - a real assault on the senses and culture shock. To be frank I hated it as much as I loved it, but returned with a wealth of memories and stories and was soon thinking about going to the South of India next time. That's still on my list (if I can persuade my wife), but since then have become a world heritage junkie, which informs a lot of my travel choices.
My Favorite Places:
New Zealand for the scenery, Laos for the relaxed atmosphere, Spain for the food
