I am a Finn, who is very fond of life surrounding me. My favourites are the birds, and that throws me all around the world. Birdwatching means visiting rural areas, where you get in contact with local nice people. It is most interesting to see different cultures and stay some days mingling with new places and habits. I like nature at all its forms, cold winter days, dark winter nights, when only the white snow gives some light, cross-country skiing, when Siberian Jays follow you from tree to tree, walking in the Finnish forest, sitting on the country house porch watching a group of Black-throated Loons (Divers) take their evening swim at sun-set time, dive and their nice uttering, as an agreement about, how nice it is to have a quiet evening swim in the unspoiled nature, without any disturbing noise of any kind but only the nature itself. I also like mountain areas: can there be anything better than climb up (perhaps some birds in your mind) and be able to see and admire the mountains, valleys, kilometers in front of you. It makes me humble.
