I was always a very excited travel bug, started at an early age, when I left for South Africa in 1965. In 1967 I moved to the US, where I lived almost 4 years, therefore I visited so many States. Back in Europe, I travelled the world on business, of which 3 years in Eastern Europe. From 1978 on I lived nearly 20 years in Asia. I saw my family half of this time, as I was working as a Chief Excecutive for a Swiss Corporation, in charge for the Region of Asia/Pacific. I have been countless times in many Asian countries, thus accumulated endless miles of travelling, difficult to make an account of it. Since my retirement at 54, I traveled with my family through more then 40 countries, purely for pleasure. Sofar I must have been on the road,in the air and on sea perhaps over 2 Mio miles in my life sofar. That's a pure guess.I believe I don't need to prove myself,I think that's sufficient. To go through the stack of passports would be simply too much work.I am now 70 and I hope to travel for an other 10 years or more - if all goes well. Hopefully I will have the pleasure to see another 20 countries in the years to come.Sofar I travelled through 105 countries,if I count the Kosovo and the Vatican.
