Bhutan Visit: 2010-3
2010-03-30 - Went on a four day trip to Bhutan. Took Druk air from Kathmandu, the flight to Paro is very spectacular. Great view over the Himalayas including Mt. Everest. I used Bhutan Excursions www.bhutantour.bt I paid 250 US a day full board including Guide and driver. If you travel in a Group the price is 200 US this price is set by the government. I was alone the Guide and the driver did everything for me. They changed the Schedule when I told them that I was more interested in Nature then see all religious places.

The hiking up to Tigers Nest was spectacular, simply Word class. The guides were very patient since I was walking very slow. If you are in bad shape or have trouble with the altitude rent a Donkey where the hike starts. I will absolutely recommend www.bhutantour.bt the guide Dorji was fantastic. Two out of four days I was the only guest in the Hotel and the staff did everything for me.

When I was there they discussed to raise the price another 50 us a day in order to avoid too many tourist coming.

DRC (Zaire) Visit: 2010-12
2012-01-17 - I entered DRC from Gisenyi,Rwanda, my Visa was issued at the consulate in Copenhagen. Many people were refused to enter because they had Visa issued in a neighboring country being told they should get the Visa in their home country or the closest Embassy/Consulate.

Be sure to bring Cash, had a hard time. I stayed at the Cape Kivu hotel in Goma. I was told that could pay with credit card, but had to pay in cash. Last night in DRC I was invited to stay in a private home, nice people good experience. Goma and the surroundings were peaceful when I was there no problems.

Gagauzia Visit: 2009-10
2009-10-18 - Contacted Richard on http://www.visamoldova.co.uk/ he arranged a taxi for me for a trip that included both Gagauzia and Trans Dniester the same day I paid 130 Ä for the Taxi. It was well worth it, started the trip early morning and was back in I Chi?in?u late afternoon. In addition to the driver who spoke ok English Richardís wife who speaks perfect English went with us as a guide. The driver and guide was really good source of Information about Moldova, Gagauzia and Trans Dniester so was Ricard who has the webside mentioned above. Gagauzia was sleepy, typical country side not that different from rest of Moldova, some nice Orthodox churches, went to the Gagauzian parliament for some pictures.

Llivia Visit: 2009-11
2009-11-28 - Went to llivia from Andorra La Vella, Took a taxi for 90Ä passing through some nice scenery. The taxi ride took about one hour. Could done it cheaper by bus to the border of France and continued from there, but didnít have the time. Llivia was a nice town to spend a Sunday afternoon. Sitting out on one of the restaurants enjoying a beer and the view. Went from Llivia to Barcelona by bus, the bus leaves four times a day I think the last one leaves four in the afternoon.

Nagorno-Karabakh Visit: 2010-10
2012-01-16 - I travelled with a private car from Yerevan. I did not get my visa in the Karabakh Foreign Affairs Office in Stepanakert, neither in the Karabakh embassy in Yerevan. Not a very smart move, on the way back to Armenia I was denied to exit Karabakh so we went back to the Foreign Affairs Office in Stepanakert, they issued the Visa in five minutes.

People in Karabakh were very friendly and helpful and curios about my home country, so it was very easy and fun to travel alone. The trip from Yerevan was nice especially to see Mt. Ararat.

Trans Dniester Visit: 2009-10
2009-10-18 - Contacted Richard on http://www.visamoldova.co.uk/ he arranged a taxi for me for a trip that included both Gagauzia and Transnistria the same day I paid 130 Ä for the Taxi. It was well worth it. Started the trip early morning and was back in I Chi?in?u late afternoon. In addition to the driver who spoke ok English Richardís wife who speaks perfect English went as a guide. The driver and guide was really good source of Information about Moldova, Gagauzia and Transnistria so was Ricard who has the webside mentioned above. Came to the border just handed the Passport over to the guide after ten minutes they were back and everything was ok no problems. According to them they donít understand why foreigners have problems at the border. Tiraspol was ok, it was not as old Sovietunion style as I thought. Itís ok to stay a couple of hour but I think Chi?in?u is a better place to stay overnight.
